Spiritual Dates: Portals, Solstices and Our Signs

Sacred Signs follows a set of dates through the year: the number portals such as 11:11 and 12:12, the solstices and equinoxes, eclipses and the Lion’s Gate on 8 August. On many of these dates Astaran has seen and released a universal sign. This page lists each date in the order it comes, when it falls next and the signs that belong to it. Each date keeps one page that we update every year.

The dates we follow, in order

11:11 portal: Wednesday 11 November 2026

The eleventh day of the eleventh month, the best known of the number portals. Our sign for it is 11.11 Portal, released on 11 November 2021.

12:12 portal: Saturday 12 December 2026

The twelfth day of the twelfth month, read as the close of a cycle, nine days before the winter solstice. Signs: Portal 12-12 (2022) and 12-12 Portal of Rebirth (2024). Read more: 12:12 portal: meaning of December 12 and the 2026 date.

Winter solstice: Monday 21 December 2026, 20:50 UTC

The shortest day and the longest night in the Northern Hemisphere, and the turn back toward the light. Signs: Winter Solstice 2022 and Winter Solstice 2024. Read more: winter solstice spiritual meaning and its 2026 date.

1:11 portal: Monday 11 January 2027

The first portal of the new year, the 11th day of the first month.

Spring equinox: Saturday 20 March 2027

Day and night are close to equal in length. In the Northern Hemisphere it opens spring, and many people mark it as a day of balance and new starts.

Summer solstice: Monday 21 June 2027

The longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, the peak of the light before the days shorten again.

Day Out of Time: 25 July

In the 13 Moon calendar, a year has 13 months of 28 days. That leaves one day that belongs to no month: 25 July, the day between one year and the next.

Lion’s Gate: 8 August

The date reads 8/8, and in the tradition behind the name the sun stands in Leo while the star Sirius reappears before dawn. This date matters to us in particular: the Sacred Signs began to be seen at the Lion’s Gate of 2020, and Map to the Center, released on 8 August 2020, is one of the first signs Astaran drew. Later Lion’s Gate signs: The Lions’ Roar (2023) and Lion’s Gate Portal 2024.

Eclipses: next total solar eclipse on Monday 2 August 2027

The total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027 can be seen from southern Spain, North Africa and parts of the Middle East. Our eclipse sign is Rebirth, released on 8 April 2024, the day of the total solar eclipse over North America.

Autumn equinox: Thursday 23 September 2027

Day and night are close to equal again, and in the Northern Hemisphere the nights start to grow longer than the days.

The other portal dates: 2:22, 7:7, 9:9 and 10:10

Some people also mark 22 February (2:22), 7 July (7:7), 9 September (9:9) and 10 October (10:10). Each is searched for in its own month and read through the meaning of its number. We have no sign for these dates today. If one comes, it will be listed here.

How we mark a date

A date does not come with a sign by default. Astaran observes the day, and when a geometry shows itself, he draws it and we release it as a universal sign with a few words from both of us. Some dates have several signs from different years, some have none yet.

Each Universal Sign is offered as a gift to the collective. You can take one from the Universal Signs library, and if a sign means something to you, you can give back on the donation page.

A sign for every month

The Sacred Signs Birthday Calendar holds twelve universal signs, one for every month, with space for the birthdays that matter to you. It is €19,95 while its circle is open (until 15 November 2026) and €24,95 after that.

If you like to mark a date with a card, our page on oracle cards explains how to start. More articles are in the library, and the geometry behind the signs is on sacred geometry.

The meanings on this page are belief and tradition. They do not replace medical, psychological or other professional care. Read how we write about sacred geometry and belief.
